BIRD ZAP is a safe and humane electronic bird deterrent system. Birds and “other pests” can cause damage, spread disease and become a general annoyance when they decide to move into areas where we don’t want them! It can be difficult to remove them once they have arrived and it is a constant effort to clean up and control them.

BIRD ZAP can be placed on signs, roof edges, window sills, pipes, ledges and many other structures. It is durable acrylic tape with 3 embedded aluminum wires that can be mounted on a variety of different surface materials using a high-bond adhesive.

The BIRD ZAP system consists of durable clear acrylic tape with 3 aluminum lead wires connected to a solar energizer.

After tape has been mounted, it is connected to the solar energizer and powered on. Every 1-2 seconds, a low-voltage electrical pulse is sent through the aluminum wires.

As birds start to return to their “resting places” and make contact with the acrylic strip, they receive an uncomfortable zap. The bird is immediately alerted to the fact that the tape should be avoided and eventually they learn to stay away.
