In order to insure a strong bond on a variety of surfaces, the use of additional adhesive is recommended but not required. The bond strength will vary depending on the type of material the tape is being mounted on.

No. The BIRD ZAP system does not harm the birds. The system is similar to the high-voltage fences that have been and are still being used in the farm industry to control cattle.
BIRD ZAP has modified the system so that brief pulses of low-voltage electricity are sent through the wires. These pulses are enough to make the birds uncomfortable however they are not harmed in any way.
No. There are no special skills or tools required to install the BIRD ZAP system. Everything needed to install the basic system is included in the kit.
The BIRD ZAP system consists of a durable clear acrylic tape with 2 aluminum leads running through it. The tape is mounted using a high-bond adhesive and can be applied to a number of different materials.
The system can be applied to: metal, glass, stone, asphalt, marble, sealed wood, lintels and steel.
Because the BIRD ZAP system uses short electrical pulses, the wires remain cool reducing the risk of an electrical fault. The system can safely be used next plant or other foliage without the need to worry about causing a fire.
Although the system has been designed to be fire resistant, it is not recommended that the system be placed next to materials that are known to be flammable or near toxic gases.
